Situational Analysis - a presentation and interpretation of both the market assessment and marketing audit in a ‘Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats’ format (SWOT)

Objectives - Both qualitative and quantitative objectives are discussed and agreed with clients using the SMART principle: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.

Strategy - SMART objectives lead the development of strategy - specifying key target markets, brand/product/service positioning and the marketing mix required for each target market - made up of product, service, promotion, pricing and distribution, physical evidence and people strategies.

Tools & Tactics - a practical, deciding approach, identifying key messages for individual market sectors. Practical marketing tools may include personal selling, direct mail, telemarketing, print/media advertising, public relations, website, etc.

Budgets & Schedules - Marketing activity and associated budgets are scheduled monthly throughout the campaign period (or for the life of the marketing plan) facilitating budget management.

Tracking/Monitoring - Plans are monitored at agreed intervals against their objectives – tracking your return on your investment throughout the campaign.
